CreativeName Report post Posted 6 hours ago This is my current and most ambitious project. I know the stitch line is not straight. I would welcome comments and suggestions. One question, is there a preference for stitching the front or back needle first when saddle stitching?
TonyV Report post Posted 1 hour ago (edited) That will work out great. I think of leather work is 99% precise guessing, so a little bit of an offset line only means it's hand made with love. I prefer starting (after the backstitch) from the back needle first. I'm right handed, so that's the left hand needle. AFIK that's the traditional way. But like most all things in leather work, 10 people will give you at least 12 different answers. Edited 1 hour ago by TonyV
