BoonMac Report post Posted November 25 Hi, I am new to this forum. I want to make leather bags out of chrome tan or oil tan leather and want to get a skiving machine. Does anyone have opinions on which one to get? I’m looking at the Cobra NP-4 and the Techsew SK 4. Which one should I get? Thank you!
DieselTech Report post Posted November 26 I say, if the money is there. Go for the Cobra np-4. Good people, plus product support if problems arise. I got to make the same choice next year, & them are the 2 I have decided to pick from as well.
BoonMac Report post Posted Tuesday at 04:30 AM Thank you for your opinion! I’m glad I’m on the right track. The np-4 is a bit cheaper.
TomE Report post Posted Tuesday at 12:34 PM I bought a used Techsew SK-4 with the vacuum cabinet. It is well made, although my impression is that all these bottom feed bell skivers are about the same. Campbell-Randall sells additional feet and drive rollers (FAV brand) that fit these machines. I posted about some accessories that I find useful in tack making.
