Recommended Posts

Beautiful work, again.

What size are these "paintings"?

What sewing machine are you using"

What kind of time is involved.

That's wild. You clearly have the patience of a saint.

Incredible work, I've never seen anything like it -- thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks everyone. You sure do know how to make us feel good. The sizes are as follows:

Chief Sitting Bull - 27" x 30" , Strummin' Still - 30" x 36", White Tiger - 10" x 15". The machine we use is a Pfaff 463 flatbed. We've had it for about 17 years now. Can't tell you exactly how long each one took to make. I timed a piece we call "Broken Dreams" a long time ago and it took 209 hours after the drawing was completed. Please find it below.

did you use a computer to plot out your colors in that piece? it'd be like stenciling almost, do an illustrator file with 3-4 colors and cut/sew each layer down. awesome, i really like it.

First I would like to say Thank you to Beth for her compliment. Second I would like to respond to the question about using computer programs in our work. The answer is no. Everything is done by hand, the drawing, color coding, cutting, etc. Thanks for your response. Have a great day.

Randy
