Hi,

I own a 269-373 and was experiencing the same issue, so I'm going to assume they have the same bobbin winder assembly.

The solution I came up with is to wind the thread around the threaded base of the tension assembly, then pass it through the first hole that leads it between the tensioning plates. This is probably an unorthodox way of going about the issue, so someone may chime in with a proper solution, but it's worked for me so far, give it a go.

Regards, Apostolos

I had a similar problem on my 69-373. Solved it by threading around the tensioner in the opposite direction so that the thread travels +/- 400 degrees (slightly more than a full turn) instead of +/- 300 degrees (less than a full turn).
