Members ZARDOZ the GREAT Posted April 17 Members Report Posted April 17 HOW-DEE! Does anyone have instructions/input on how to thread and use this machine? It's a copy of an original one I think. Has the hand crank but I also have the electric motor kit. I want to learn how to set it up and use it, but can't find instructions. Thank you! Quote

Members ZARDOZ the GREAT Posted April 18 Author Members Report Posted April 18 I can't find the wire used for running the thread down to the needle, or the bobbin holder to refill the bobbin. I also am trying to figure out what thread the bottom holes have to attach to a table, but I figure that may be trial and error. Any suggestions on alternatives/hacks? Quote

Expand The Consew is just another clone variation of the Singer. On 4/18/2025 at 7:30 PM, ZARDOZ the GREAT said: I can't find the wire used for running the thread down to the needle Expand Some of the clones use a small needle like thing that you tie the thread to and drop it down the threading hole. Expand If they copied the thread from the Singer, Singer had their own thread pitch and finding them is going to be difficult / impossible. So you can either re-drill / re-tap the holes or use a smaller bolt that will fit through the hole. kgg Quote Juki DNU - 1541S, Juki DU - 1181N, Singer 29K - 71(1949), Chinese Patcher (Tinkers Delight), Warlock TSC-441, Techsew 2750 Pro, Consew DCS-S4 Skiver
Members Constabulary Posted April 19 Members Report Posted April 19 (edited) Threading wire: https://www.ebay.de/itm/162385533414 Screws could be metric too - you never know. I´d re-tap a new and more common thread. Members ZARDOZ the GREAT Posted April 21 Author Members Report Posted April 21 Thank you everyone. I will try and figure it out. I got some of those thin green wires used for floral crap and will see if that will work. I have some spare bobbins and that threader wire in storage somewhere, so maybe it will pop up next time I go. Quote
