Hello. I'm looking for someone in the Southwest Ohio area who has knowledge of and or works on Singer patching machines.

Thank you.

P.S. The machine is a 29k71.

I slipped this over to Leather Sewing Machines. You're more likely to get responses here. It was in the  Marketplace/Services forum, which would be for offering services.

The are some patcher experts here.

I think it would help if you could explain what your problem is and maybe post some pictures or link a YT Video.

Thanks for moving it. I assumed the wrong thing with services.

Thank you for the manual. I've been looking for that for a while .

The problem with the machine is the presser foot either being too loose to feed or too tight to feed. ( Sorry not able to get video). I can't seem to reach a happy medium.

The arm that the foot is attached to moves back and forth, but it doesn't pivot when any type of pressure is applied to the material.

Maybe you just have to take the head apart and service it.

Takes knocking out one single pin and loosening 4 screws.

Mivel has  a good 3-vids sequel about how to do that

Even though this is for a 29K33 - the 29K71 is very similar except for the internal foot pressure spring as opposed to the steel spring bar.

Greetings

Hans

Big Thanks to Tigwelder for the manual.

Apparently the screws holding the the bell crank lever in the revolving bush handle had come loose. screws back in and tight, all cleaned and oiled and she's back to working like she has for the last 67 years.
