Good Morning All,

20250418_113100.jpg.f9af41e74af6f48f7dfb36f5c13c9594.jpgI have been making some wallets for awhile now learning techniques. I have gotten a few request for a traditional bifold. I have used the Buttero 3oz leather, but I feel like its a little bulky.

I see that I can order it from Rocky Mountain in different options, do you guys recommend a certain weight for something like this ?

Your wallet pictured looks great!!

I think it really boils down to preference.  What have you used for tri-folds?  It would seem that would be a thicker wallet yet.  You could always see if they could send you some sample pieces to experiment with to determine which thickness you feel is best. When someone asks me for a wallet, I normally show them the leather I will be using.  In most cases, they take my advice on the leather, so really it's my choice.  I haven't had any complaints.  I normally use 3-4oz. veg tan HO leather.  Good luck.
