Hello! I am a novice shoe repairman. While washing your Hermes Oasis sandals with saddle soap,
the soap bubbles and soap water got on the natural leather sole.
At first, I thought it would be okay if I dried it well, but the stain does not come off no matter how much I dry it.

How can I get it back to its original condition? The saddle soap is a Fiebings product.

I would probably just call Feibing's and ask them.  They would probably have a solution.  Good luck.  Here is their number.

Saddle soap contains oils and conditioners. They wont dry. over time they may migrate and even out some.

A lot of "how to" guides on saddle soap say that you should condition your leather after using the saddle soap. I looked around on the internet a bit and found a website that indicated what Hermes recommended for shoe care:

  • Hermes-approved leather cleaner (such as Saphir Medaille d’Or Renovateur)
  • Leather conditioner (such as Hermes Leather Balm)

I'm not sure what Saphir Medaille d'Or Renovateur is, but it sounds like it is similar to Mink Oil (The Saphir stuff is also available on Amazon). You might try to grab a container of that stuff and try it out. If you can't get it, maybe try Mink Oil (since the Saphir stuff says "Mink Oil based").

Here is where I found the information:
