AlZilla Posted July 2 Report Posted July 2 How's that for a longshot? The machine is actually a Singer 22W156, made by Singer after they bought W&W. Anyway, here's a pic. Might have to fabricate something. “Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.” - Voltaire “Republics decline into democracies and democracies degenerate into despotisms.” - Aristotle
Members Cumberland Highpower Posted July 3 Members Report Posted July 3 (edited) I think they were kinda standard across a few different machines back in the day. I have a couple Singer Post bed heads in the corner, and one is a WW machine. I think both have the same hinge system as yours. Might not be so hard to find as one could think? Wish I had some leads for you though. Edited July 3 by Cumberland Highpower
AlZilla Posted July 13 Author Report Posted July 13 I think my next project is going to be fabricating a couple of hinges out of angle iron. It is a genuine PITA trying to work on this thing, flopping around on the bench ... “Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.” - Voltaire “Republics decline into democracies and democracies degenerate into despotisms.” - Aristotle
Members mbnaegle Posted September 3 Members Report Posted September 3 I think the part # for the table plate is 202259, and the hook end on the machine is #210844. Same hinges are used on the 107W zig-zag machines. Googling those numbers pulls up a number of sources, and I think you can still get them from Superior.
