Members speedybri Posted August 30 Members Report Posted August 30 I'm having an issue with the tension on my cobra 4 that I've never had before. Suddenly no matter what I do or how I adjust the tension my top thread is still showing on the bottom of the leather. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried adjusting the top tensions amd the bobbin tension many Manu times now. I ca t seem to get it it change at all. Thanks so much. Brian Merrick Quote
Contributing Member friquant Posted August 30 Contributing Member Report Posted August 30 Has anything changed about your setup (needle size, thread size, leather thickness)? Have you rethreaded the top thread to verify that the path is correct? Would you be willing to measure the top and bottom tensions and report back? Quote friquant. Like a frequent, piquant flyer. Bob prolly tell you in a minute wut the prollem is If I wuz gonna guess without seeing it (and I aint gonna) I might say theyz sumthin' putting drag on yer BOBBIN side ... But again - tell Bob is yer best bet. Bob is a GROWN MAN, capable of answering a simple question without trying to sell you something you don't need. Oh, and he's out yer way! Members FDC Posted Thursday at 05:54 PM Members Report Posted Thursday at 05:54 PM Have you adjusted the thread tension in the bobin shuttle? Is the spool oriented correctly in the bobbin? Quote
Contributing Member Samalan Posted 17 hours ago Contributing Member Report Posted 17 hours ago I would say, seeing as it's a Cobra machine, I would give Steve a call at Leather Machine Co. Quote
