153w-102 feed dog

Hello everyone I am new to the site but know of it I have gathered much information here. 

I was wondering if anyone could help me with my singer 153 w-102 I'm going to add a little video to show my question and I'm wondering if this part is supposed to move like this. Or if everyone knows how I can make it tighter what I need to do?

Hi Guell,

I took the end cap off my cylinder bed (different brand) , but mine looks different than yours. mine does not flop around like that, and the flopping seems detrimental to the feed actually working.

What I would do is first remove the slotted / hex screw which will allow the feed dog to be removed. this will gain you additional visibility and hopefully it will become more obvious what should be preventing the flop.

Taking pictures as you go will help you get it back together once you've solved the mystery.

Good luck! Post some pictures of your progress if you don't mind

The end cam is worn.   Replace it to take out the play.

II have been searching for the replacement parts, and the more I search the results were coming back to the Consew 227r the parts and they look identical, but I do not know if they are interchangeable. I wanna change the feed bar and the lifter fork, 
Because the litter Fork runs in grooves inside of the feed bar which is what it's called. .
on a total coincidence I picked up a Consew 227r  the parts a nice and tight not, lose at all

I'll suggest calling Toledo Industrial at 866-362-7397. I needed some peculiar bed hinges for a machine out of production since 1948. They were in stock for $2.50 each. $9.00 got me 2 hinges and the 4 screws.

Consew 227 parts are copies of  Singer 153 parts.  Should be interchangeable.
