AlZilla Posted yesterday at 01:20 PM Report Posted yesterday at 01:20 PM I have no authoritative answer on the question of lubricants. But I can say that lots and lots of people use kerosene for an initial clean down on sewing machines, followed by sewing machine oil. In the olden days of yore, people would put a quart of diesel fuel in their crankcase and run it a while before changing their oil. I, too, am deeply envious of such a find. Congratulations. Members Handstitched Posted 5 hours ago Members Report Posted 5 hours ago Why would anyone want to throw that away? Even if it didn't work , it would make an awesome display piece in your workshop 😀 I'd be like a kid on Christmas day . Great find 👍 Hope you're able to get all cleaned up and working again.
