Hello,

I have a problem with my singer 18-2. I have no idea how to disasemble part number 3037. I did unscrew it but it still hold like hell to the parts that regulate the stich lenght. I wiuld be thankfull for any clues and pictures/videos. Thanks to all of you !!

@Ghoust6

I slid you over to the sewing machine sub forum. We'll probably get more attention here.

maybe you can post pictures and give us some more detailed information cause no one knows what parts 3037 is except we download a parts list an look through it until we find the part you talk about 😉

I will add pictures today. I want to remove the lower fork connection (part no. 3037) from my Singer 18-2. It’s the fork attached to the lower connection rod that transfers rotation from the main shaft to the hook shaft. I need to detach it from the connecting stud without damaging anything.

I see so it´s the fork. They are attached with 2 screws, one on the lower end and one centered right under the fork end. IIRC the "fork screw" can be reached from a hole under the top shaft bushing behind the hand wheel.

Thank you constabular. That much i know but when i unscrew the nut the one centered right under the fork end and the lower one there is no way i can move the fork. Pictures shows clearly that everything is unscrewd and fork don't care.
