AlZilla Posted Monday at 01:37 PM Report Posted Monday at 01:37 PM @Ghoust6 I slid you over to the sewing machine sub forum. We'll probably get more attention here. Members Constabulary Posted Monday at 05:03 PM Members Report Posted Monday at 05:03 PM maybe you can post pictures and give us some more detailed information cause no one knows what parts 3037 is except we download a parts list an look through it until we find the part you talk about 😉 Quote ~ Keep "OLD CAST IRON" alive - it´s worth it ~ Machines in use: - Singer 111G156 - Singer 307G2 - Singer 29K71 - Singer 212G141 - Singer 45D91 - Singer 132K6 - Singer 108W20 - Singer 51WSV2 - Singer 143W2
Members Ghoust6 Posted Tuesday at 07:17 AM Author Members Report Posted Tuesday at 07:17 AM I will add pictures today. I want to remove the lower fork connection (part no. 3037) from my Singer 18-2. It’s the fork attached to the lower connection rod that transfers rotation from the main shaft to the hook shaft. I need to detach it from the connecting stud without damaging anything. Quote
Members Constabulary Posted Tuesday at 08:24 AM Members Report Posted Tuesday at 08:24 AM I see so it´s the fork. They are attached with 2 screws, one on the lower end and one centered right under the fork end. IIRC the "fork screw" can be reached from a hole under the top shaft bushing behind the hand wheel. Members Ghoust6 Posted Tuesday at 04:21 PM Author Members Report Posted Tuesday at 04:21 PM Thank you constabular. That much i know but when i unscrew the nut the one centered right under the fork end and the lower one there is no way i can move the fork. Pictures shows clearly that everything is unscrewd and fork don't care. Quote

Contributing Member friquant Posted yesterday at 08:27 PM Contributing Member Report Posted yesterday at 08:27 PM I don't have a Singer 18-2, but I do have a Singer 31-15 which has a similar-looking mechanism. I have not taken it apart though. I'm not sure if the stud is threaded into the fork or if the fork just slides over the stud. With the nut off, I would check if the fork can be gently pryed away from the other linkages. Meaning, in your last picture you would pry the fork toward the camera. Quote friquant. Members Ghoust6 Posted 57 minutes ago Author Members Report Posted 57 minutes ago I appreciate any help and yes I was trying to push fork towards the camera and I think i did about 1-2mm and the whole mechanism start to work almost good, but almost it's not perfect. If the fork have thread then the screw should have at least cut so i can unscrew. Everything in this machine should be easy to unmounted. I can take off that fork, i was using a lot of force and even cooling it. I was looking for a hidden super small bolt in the fork holding it so tightly. As I said I was trying everything and no luck. If someone ever unmounted that fork please help. I was trying to unmounted the mechanism behind the fork and still no luck. I can/t reach bolts or they are holded by nut behind the mechanism so still no luck. Quote
