Testing New User Notifications 1

Hello this is friquant, testing as a new user to see what the default notification settings are. The goal is to improve the default notifications settings so new users will realize someone has answered their post.

So this is my first post as a new user "test32".

 

The first thing I notice is that the "Follow Topic" toggle is NOT enabled by default. See screenshot. I suggest we change this default to "enabled" for new users. I'll go ahead and click "submit" and see what happens.

Now somebody replies to the topic

Checked my email, and I don't see anything there. (not surprised, since the "follow topic" toggle was not checked)
