This forum is top notch. The mods and admin really keep it moving smoothly. It isn't an easy task to keep a forum going, especially when you get some posters with an attitude. This one is attractive to all. Well, at least the positive ones... My compliments to you all.

This morning, there are 602 "Users Online", of which 6 are logged in. This isn't at all uncommon. I know some of that is going to be bot traffic but how do we get the 99% to actually sign up, log in and post something?? I hate to suggest one of those "Log In With ..." buttons. I have no idea how much of your soul you give up to have one on your website. But if it gets people to engage instead of lurk ... This place is the best archive of Leathercraft on the net. And it's not subject to some petulant techie or CEO deleting things.

Leatherworker.net has been down for me since Sunday, so that's three days. Today I decided to try from my phone, with Wi-Fi disabled, and eventually I got through using cell data. Anybody else having this issue? I started to wonder if my IP was blocked, or if there was a DDoS underway.

I'm trying to figure out why my posts keep disappearing. I've asked a couple questions in the past week. First was trying to find out what style of carving was on a belt (I've resolved that on my own) and how to work with bridle leather. Specifically HO English bridle. Both posts disappeared within the day posted. Did I violate any rules here? I really doubt I did. It's been a little while since posting anything in Leatherworker.net only because I've been busy. And it's only a could months or so. I like this site, but if this continues to happen then I have zero reason to be here. I just want to know why?

Hello this is friquant, testing as a new user to see what the default notification settings are. The goal is to improve the default notifications settings so new users will realize someone has answered their post. So this is my first post as a new user "test32". The first thing I notice is that the "Follow Topic" toggle is NOT enabled by default. See screenshot. I suggest we change this default to "enabled" for new users. I'll go ahead and click "submit" and see what happens.

I see reference in posts from ten years ago for how to become a contributing member, but none recently. The curious mind wants to know: What are the monthly hosting costs How much advertising revenue comes in monthly How much donation/subscription revenue comes in monthly How does one become a contributing member

I put a Python skin in the For Sale area and want to reduce the price. I can't see any way to edit my post. Can anyone show me the light? I thought messages used to have an EDIT button

Don't know what other term to use for this I keep two windows open; 1 for Unread Posts and 1 for All Activity I have set Unread Posts for the last 4 weeks but it often only goes to 12 or 16 hours past. If I go and choose 4 weeks again only then will it show the older posts. This affects All Activity and restricts it to only the last day, until I choose 4 weeks on Unread again

I made a post about rebinding a Bible in Books, Journals and Photo Albums but it didn't show up when I clicked on New Posts(mobile). I was wondering if that section doesn't show up for new posts. It does show up if I click on Activity when I'm on my laptop.

Is there something preventing small search queries from running? I'm trying to search for the word "VFD", but it's coming back with no results. I tried adding a filter for "posts only by one particular member" but still no results. I'm also having trouble searching for "tig"
