anne newkold Report post Posted February 25, 2008 Just a thought but usually the classes for the trade shows do not come out until after the show that is coming up sooner is over. I would not be looking for it until some time after the Wickenburg show in March.
Elton Joorisity Report post Posted February 26, 2008 I'm going. As far as the class schedule, I had mine last year at this time for Sheridan!!
Bob Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Anne is right, I called David Reis at the LCJ about the classes being offered. "I'm just working on that now, in about three weeks we should be mailing out the book for classes being offered". We're planning on going. I called on place that has a bed & Breakfast type factility. She said that they have a house with 3 bedrooms, the rates were quite reasonable too. Message me for the information. It would be good to find two other couples going that were in the saddle industry. Bob
Bob Report post Posted February 27, 2008 A nice place to check out in Sheridan for Accomadations is here. http://melissascottages.com/ reasonable rates, private too. Bob
Randy Cornelius Report post Posted February 27, 2008 I wish we were going this year but my oldest Riley is graduating from High School that same weekend, Wife seems to think I should be there. Riley would just as so go to Sheridan, He even called Dot Ries to try and get her to move the show to another weekend! As far as where to stay, right there in the hotel is where everything goes on. Lots of after hours stuff. There is a party at Sheridan Leather Outfiters and its just a short walk to the hotel if you drink a little too much! Be sure to make the King reception also, and the banquet on Sat night. Think of me while you are there. Randy
yaklady Report post Posted February 27, 2008 I'll be going to Sheridan. There's no way I'm gonna miss out on the chance to see my leather friends who I only get to see once or twice a year. I'm lucky enough to have a friend up there to stay with. I used to stay in a nice little motel across from Sheridan Outfitters, but they tore the building down. Sheridan needs some cheaper motels, as the Holiday Inn is more than some of us can afford. Dave Reis is a bit overwhelmed right now. He's trying to get the books out, but I doubt if you will see them till after Wickenburg. There's still time to schedule your classes. Hope to see lots of you there. TracyMoss Report post Posted February 27, 2008 I'm planning on going. This will be my first year. I always went to the Boot and Saddlemaker's Round-up in Wichita Falls, TX. It was always close when I lived in Texas. Now, I live in northern Colorado so the Sheridan show is much closer.
Bob Report post Posted February 27, 2008 Tracy, then would be a good time to bring the pattern I promised you.
Cowboy Crafts Online Report post Posted February 27, 2008 I would love to go to the show, but hopefully I will be knee deep in finishing my new shop for me and the house for my wife. If this snow would ever melt away. Ashley
Art Report post Posted February 27, 2008 Hi Tracy, At least there are more places to stay and more places to eat in Sheridan than there ever will be in Wichita Falls. Everyone drives 25 mph, that can drive you crazy. Have Fun. Art I'm planning on going. This will be my first year. I always went to the Boot and Saddlemaker's Round-up in Wichita Falls, TX.
