Members Gilligan Posted February 8, 2009 Members Report Posted February 8, 2009 (edited) I noticed this belt on a guy I met yesterday and asked if it was hand made. He was amazed that I noticed. He told me that he'd really like to get another made, but had no idea as to where he'd get one. It was a belt that his father gave him years ago. He doesn't know if it was store bought or handmade, but I'm pretty sure it was handmade. this is the original colors this is the pattern further down the belt Ive just never seen anything like the silver lace on it. It appears to be coated, like a plastic base with a ?silver? Lining on it. Edited February 8, 2009 by TheKid Quote Gilligan's Leather Facebook.com/GilligansLeather

Members kiwidownunder Posted February 9, 2009 Members Report Posted February 9, 2009 I purchased a roll from Tandy and I know that the HideCrafter store stock it. You can also buy from the silver makers a metal lace that is used on saddle cantles. Kiwi. Members Studio-N Posted February 9, 2009 Members Report Posted February 9, 2009 TANDY SELLS THE MYLAR LACE...SILVER AND GOLD. TLF discontinued those at least 3 years ago. Some stores may still have some though. The metallic lace that Hidecrafters carries is RealLeather brand lace. It is also available at your closest Hobby Lobby here in the states.
