Big Papa Leather Report post Posted February 14, 2009 Here is a bunch of firsts for me. 1. Inlay or filigree or whatever it's called. It is snake skin remnant. 2. Two Tone double loop lacing. It was actually easier than I expected it to be. 3. I air brushed all the color. Including the flames. I tried to add a bit of Eco-flo smoke black to deepen the cuts on the back, but it ended up muting the color in the flames some. 4. Black and red skull fabric insert. Overall I am pleased with the outcome. The insert is a small 36 photo plastic photo album that I picked up at Hobby Lobby for $0.49 Now I need to go print up pictures of stuff and put it in the book. HellcatLeathers Report post Posted February 15, 2009 Nice job! Where did you get the red cloth skull lining? What airbrush did you use? I'm thinking about getting one.....
Big Papa Leather Report post Posted February 15, 2009 The skull cloth is an Alexander Henry pattern. I got it along with a few other designs from a eBay auction/seller. I got this one, a skull and roses one and the background of old school tattoo designs as well. If you go to eBay and search tattoo fabric or rockabilly you will see many, or just search Alexander Henry. Allen
