Twosons Report post Posted February 24, 2009 Holster maker, Lou Alessi has passed away. He was kind, gracious and a true gentleman. He helped so many of us out with advice, great holsters and general friendship. I will truly miss him. http://obit.grecofuneral.com/obit-639097 http://www.pistolsmith.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=29235 Rest in piece, my friend.
Peterk Report post Posted February 24, 2009 RIP Lou! He helped me with a few holster questions long ago, and I met him a couple of times at SHOT... Always a gentleman and great mentor... He will be missed...

Shorts Report post Posted February 24, 2009 I heard the news. I'm saddened by his passing. Never got a chance to converse with him but I read his info quite a bit. I was glad to hear him in good spirits this most recent time in the hospital and his return home. He made a crack about making leather thongs for the nurses I'm sure Lou was a delight to know in person. Be well and take care, Lou. Condolences to his family. Bree Report post Posted February 25, 2009 Very sad news indeed. Western New York has lost a great artist and craftsman. He will be missed here as he was quite well known in our gun circles.
