Contributing Member UKRay Posted February 26, 2009 Contributing Member Report Posted February 26, 2009 I foolishly missed out on an old set of rune stamps a while back and now have a use for some - has anyone got a set tucked away somewhere that they don't use and would like to convert into folding money? I'm happy to pay the shipping cost from anywhere in the world plus whatever you think is a fair price. Just drop me a PM or leave a note here and I'll be in touch very soon. Thanks guys, Ray Quote "Some mornings, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps" Ray Hatley www.barefootleather.co.uk

Thanks guys, Ray Hi Ray...Found them:-) here the link, go to page 3 at the top, DKK 222.50 (Danish page) http://www.laederiet.dk/produkter/visprodu...dansk.asp?id=27 I use to buy from them when I lived in Sweden, I know for sure they speak english cuz I always called them when I wanted stuff. This place have some of the best prices on Jiffy and double cap rivets too if someone uses them, rivets in danish is - nitter. Quote "He who works with his hands is a laborer. Members Daggrim Posted February 27, 2009 Members Report Posted February 27, 2009 BTW, thanks. I've been wanting a rune set , too. Glad you asked Ray. Dag Quote
tashabear Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 Whatever you do, don't buy them from Skindhuset. IMO, their customer service is terrible (when I ask for a price with shipping before you charge my card, I mean I want a price with shipping BEFORE YOU CHARGE MY CARD), they didn't tape the box holding the runeset shut inside the exterior box, they constructed the outside box from corrugated cardboard, and failed to tape all the corners. Can you see where this is going? When my set came, I had 13 out of the 24 runes I was supposed to have, because the constructed box had broken and the interior box had fallen open, letting the runes fall out and get lost. Luckily, I was able to find a set on eBay, but I'm seriously pissed about how much I spent to get only half the runes I was entitled to, and not even get an apology from the jerk at Skindhuset who refused to tell how he'd shipped it so I could go looking for the package at my end. I finally stabbed in the dark and asked at the post office. For whatever reason, they had failed to send me a card to tell me there was a parcel. Yeah, still bitter, can you tell? Quote
Members wildrose Posted February 27, 2009 Members Report Posted February 27, 2009 This time 'round, Ray's getting 'em from me: I happened to have had a set collecting dust (didn't use it much). I promise it will leave here well packed and in an appropriate envelope. It's sad when businesses don't ship things well, when you've paid them for the product and don't get what you paid for! Now if I can only sell that hand press I've got sitting around here... Quote Holly Moore Wild Rose Creations http://www.wrcleather.com

I have never order by mail from skindhuset… but I have bought a lot of stuff from them as their shop is like 1 km away from my workshop. Their shop service is great although their prices are kind of steep. Ill be sure to make a remark about their service towards you. Quote
Contributing Member UKRay Posted February 27, 2009 Author Contributing Member Report Posted February 27, 2009 (edited) Thanks for all the help guys - I now have a set of runes coming my way... Thanks a bunch Holly! For anyone who hasn't got one, IMHO Holly's unwanted press is absolutely the best way to use 3D stamps and alphabet stamps. Perfect impressions every time and no problem lining things us. I already have one or I'd be negotiating! I use mine for keyfobs, guitar straps with names on, belts - in fact any time I need to use letter stamps. Works like a charm as long as you set it up right. Members wildrose Posted February 28, 2009 Members Report Posted February 28, 2009 Ray, thanks for the press on the press I wish I could sell it, because it's honestly a shame just sitting here. I even have a UPS packing/shipping outlet nearby I could use for it. There was a little interest after I put it in the Marketplace section, but it drizzled out. Ah well, the right time will come.
