Jaiden42 Report post Posted March 2, 2009 I'm really new to leather working but making cuffs, collars, wristbands, and bracers is something that interests me. I was wondering if there are any tips and tricks that are specific to making those items. One of the questions I have is working with items that are multiple layers of leather. ferret Report post Posted March 2, 2009 Putting a lining in items that will be curved in use can cause puckering and bulking if they are attached when flat. My way of avoiding this is to wrap the lining around a cylinder (usually a bottle), then attatch the top piece with rubber solution. This will hold it while you stitch and trim the lining. jbird Report post Posted March 3, 2009 You sure do have to take this in to account and my way is easy cut the lining a little big and glue lining and other then start applying the two pieces have the leather on a flat surface and just start rolling as you go some is enough doesn't have to be rolled all the way to the finished amount.
