Members kiwidownunder Posted March 7, 2009 Members Report Posted March 7, 2009 Well I thought it was time to post One of my first saddle that I did in New Zealand. Robin Yates came over from Australia, and ran a Saddlery school which I attended. My father made the saddle making stand that it is sitting on. Sorry that it is not that clear, or close but it gives you an idea of the finished saddle. Only photo of it I have with me, sorry. The days before digital cameras. It was a fun school and boy I learnt heaps. It is my show saddle, and the trend at the time was for dark brown and black saddles in the show pen. I also put silver plates on the corners. Hope you can see it good enough. Thanks for looking and happy carving. Kiwi. Quote
Members jbird Posted March 8, 2009 Members Report Posted March 8, 2009 That's to bad you don't have a little bit better photo because it looks like a gem. Josh Quote
Members Casey Jordan Posted March 8, 2009 Members Report Posted March 8, 2009 From what I can see it looks pretty nice. And it looks like you spent a hour or two dyeing! Nice job! Quote
