ruthless Report post Posted March 15, 2009 I'd like to buy a machine as handsewing this collar took me faaaar too long! The aim to is eventually make collars and leads to sell, and it won't be profitable if I spend so much time handstitching. My local leather shop suggested this one, it's an Amish made handstitcher. http://www.birdsall-leather.com.au/product.asp?id=91 However, it's the only machine they sell, so I was wondering is it the best one for me or should I look elsewhere? Possibly for something with a motor.

ryano Report post Posted March 16, 2009 (edited) Boy that is super high for a Tippman Boss. You can find them new for around $1200.00. Toledo Industrial Sewing machine, Ohio, sells the Cowboy sewing machine line and is by far cheaper on price than any other machine dealer. He also has a lot of used machines, I mean a lot. He also sells needles and thread. He has a toll free number 866-362-7397. I am just a happy customer. Edited March 16, 2009 by ryano
ruthless Report post Posted March 16, 2009 That's AUD, the exchange rate's really bad for us at the moment. Even if I bought one from the US for $1200, with shipping and currency conversion, it may end up the same price!
