MHolzer Report post Posted April 4, 2009 (edited) Tom, a sporran is the "pockets" of a kilt. It's worn in the front like a belt pouch both to keep your keys etc in, but also to keep the kilt from doing a "Marilyn". So really the only difference is where one wears it.
