skipj Report post Posted March 18, 2009 I would like to know how or perhaps if I can remove a post or reply of my own on the board. I somehow posted the same reply twice and couldn't figure out how to remove one; still don't know how it happened. I guess that's what I had in mind more that removing the beginning of a thread. Johanna Report post Posted March 18, 2009 You can edit a post for a few hours, after that, get a hold of someone in green to fix it for you. You can't remove the first post of a new topic unless you are green. I think the reasoning is that id Joe Blow gets mad, he might want to delete all of his posts, leaving big holes in the board. Little errors like what happened to you the other day is just regular housekeeping, and anyone in green can fix it. Johanna
skipj Report post Posted March 18, 2009 Johanna, I somehow posted a reply twice unintentionally. I wasn't trying to edit it, I didn't realize I had posted it. So now I have two posts exactally alike except one has one more line on it. I wanted to remove the first incomplete post. Do I understand you correctly I can't do that. Not a problem, just trying to keep from causing more work for you guys. By green, you mean the discription under the name on the left? Thanks SkipJ
TwinOaks Report post Posted March 19, 2009 Yes skipj. The folks with green under their names are the moderators and can move/delete/edit posts. If you don't see one of the green meanies moderators online when you are you can always just click the "report post" button at the bottom left of the post. That flags it for the Mods to look at, and you can explain why you need it removed/merged with your other post.
