Members ruthless Posted April 7, 2009 Author Members Report Posted April 7, 2009 Sure thing I have solid brass heavy duty rivets, but they're single capped. I want double. They must exist. Stop holding out on me people! Quote
esantoro Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Ohio Travel Bags in the U.S. has these solid brass double-capped rivets. They are made in Belgium and are called Jiffy Rivets, though I have seen others that look more like rapid rivets also called Jiffy Rivets. I don't know where you can get them in Australia. Depending on size, they run about $8 to $15 for a box of 100. You should be able to get a discount if you buy 1000 or more. ed Quote http://www.waldenbags.com http://www.waldenbags.etsy.com
Members Daggrim Posted April 14, 2009 Members Report Posted April 14, 2009 Those Jiffy rivets can be difficult. They're just pressure fit, and the shaft doesn't peen over inside the cap. They're not very secure. Maybe practice would make perfect, but I gave up on them after 50% of the rivets I put in a helmet failed the fingernail pull test. Just my experience.
