I am in need of some help. I was sewing on my Consew 206 and I broke a neddle. I replaced the needle and went to rethread everything. The top thread now does not pick up the bobbin thread. What did I do? Please help!

Yes I did. I have a servo motor, will that make a difference? Is the safety clutch on the sewing machine or on the motor? I am new to this machine, please bear with me.

Safety clutch is on machine IF that model has one. Check that your hook makes complete revolutions when you handwheel the machine. If not, safety clutch reset will be the big round chrome "button" just to the right of the needle and needle plate. Make sure there are no bits of needle in the machine.

The hook does make a complete revolution, and I retrived the entire broken needle. It seems like the needle on the down stroke is not in time with the hook on the bottom. Not real sure, but that is what it looks like to me.

It probably needs a reset, push the button and crank it through.
