DCKNIVES Report post Posted March 8, 2008 I have a special order of 10 sheaths with various inlays and need 2 pieces, 1 blue and 1 green 2" x 5". I don't get much call for colored rayskins so I didn't want to pay for an entire skin to sit and collect dust. If you have some extra let me know and how much. Thanks. bruce johnson Report post Posted March 8, 2008 DC, I don't have any scraps in those colors. If you don't get any to come your way, you might call Jerry VanAmburg (www.vanamburgleathers.com). The baby rays he sells are not very pricey, and mine have run about 6x10. Even if I need several inlays, I find better yield for the buck buying the babies. On the phone he usually can wheel and deal on some that might have a defect on part. Shipping won't kill you from him either. Good guy to deal with for me. He is probably at Wickenburg now, and might have a show special price when he gets back home, depending on good sales or not. If you haven't dealt with him before, he is "high octane". kseidel Report post Posted March 8, 2008 I have some scrap stingray. No blue and the green is a pale lime green. This stingray is garment tanned an the surface is sanded so that the "pebbles" are flat. Let me know if this may work for you. Other colors are black, dark brown, red, and orange. DCKNIVES Report post Posted March 8, 2008 Thanks for the offer Keith, but this customer is all about the texture. I have black here and use quite a bit of it.Dave
