Unfinished projects setting too long

I have about 6 projects that I have started. I have glued these items and now ready to sew. But I have not gotten around to doing anything with them in alittle of 2 months. Can I anticipate any sewing machine problems down the road.

You have just described my life... if I could limit things to only 6 unfinished projects. This goes way beyond leather.
