Randyc Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 (edited) A potential customer contacted me asking that I build him a holster for a Safari Matchmaster .45 Cal. Auto. I haven't checked all the demensions, but it appears to have been modeled after the Colt 1911 Government Frame. If the demensions are the same as a Governemnt Model, I can use my 1911 Government Blue Gun. The problem I see is the square trigger guard. I really don't want to do any permanent modifications to my Blue Gun for a one holster deal. Any suggestions for a non-permanent modification I can make to my Blue Gun to achieve the squared off trigger guard? I try to accomadate the customers, but I'm not sure this one would be worth it. Randy Hi Randy Is the customer local? If so, just have him bring it over to you. Have you ever seen the Safari gun? you may want to talk with your local gun dealer / gun smith to find out exact size. YOu may not have modify your blue gun for one holster Tim Quote

I recently built a holster for a customer's Laser-Lite equipted Glock 19. I duplicated the laser sight with a block of wood duct taped to my Glock 19 mold gun. It worked out well. Quote
Members Shorts Posted June 25, 2009 Members Report Posted June 25, 2009 I was thinking the same about adding some kind of form. I was thinking putty of some type. Doesn't have to be permanent to the trigger guard. The little piece of wood suggested would probably work much easier. Quote

I have the specs for the Safari Match Master and by looks it appears to be built on a government frame. I only want to take the customers order, if I can use my government 45 Blue Gun for the design and molding. Randy Quote
