Thanks, Steve

It's a good machine for thinner leather using #46,69 or 92 thread would be the largest it can handle. It has 5/16" foot lift w/hand lifter & 1/2" w/foot lifter.

narrow arm good for shoes, hatshandbags & etc,has a walking foot & needle feed.

Let me know if you have anymore ?

Thanks Bob. I do have some more questions.

What about the Nakajima 321 L and PFAFF 331?

The Pfaff 331 is almost the same as the Consew227 except the parts don't interchange.

Nakajima was bought out by Juki a long time ago & they changed alot of the model# & also some of the parts so you might have trouble getting parts for it unless it's a model they still make under a different model#.

Howdy,

The Consew 277R is great little machine. I have used mine since 1994 and have made hundreds of chaps bags n belts. I run 138 and 92 thread and have no problem at all on rodeo chaps.

If you are doing tooled tops on rodeo chaps I use my Juki 441. With the 16" arm it works better for chaps anyway.

Love my Juki, Consew, Landis 3 and Singer 29K long arm.

Hate the Number 9 I used to have!
