yan Report post Posted July 29, 2009 (edited) like many I wear glass and really (I mean really) hate wearing contacts lens. But wearing glass in full armor is a mood breaker. this is why I made my first mask (black and white). It is 8 oz leather. It is mold to fit the sport goggles. the second one is also 8 oz, but this time I had better control he hole for the eyes is a little to bib, I need peripherial vision in a battle field. leatheroo Report post Posted July 29, 2009 well done yan, you might try using lighter leather, i use about 3oz-4oz leather for my masks, after they dry they will still hold the shape and you will find it much easier to work with. to get a good finish with the color you will find an airbrush invaluable....there have been lots of posts on the forum about which airbrush to get....looking forward to seeing more of your work. PaganBear Report post Posted July 30, 2009 Both look nice Yan. Are they to be worn under a closed or bar grill helm?
yan Report post Posted July 30, 2009 (edited) Are they to be worn under a closed or bar grill helm? no I use it for "foam" weapon. I use a padded fencing mask for wood and/or metal weapon. Edited July 30, 2009 by yan
