Members CEversole Posted September 10, 2009 Members Report Posted September 10, 2009 Greetings from Texas! My name is Cord Eversole I've been seriously working with leather for about four years now, although I dabbled in it a little as a youngster. I started tanning deer hides and making buckskin items and knife sheaths. Later I started working for a ranch that hadd a leather shop in one of the barns and during the winter months and rainy days my time was spent in there teaching myself the trade for the most part. After I learned the basics I bought some books and made some contacts and started learning a little from other people. I make just about anything you can think of out of leather, I completed my first saddle about 2 months ago and am fixing to start on my second. I'm kinda dissapointed that I didn't find this site sooner!!! Quote

King's X Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Welcome to the forum. Where in Texas are you located? I didn't see your location in your profile on the left. I am a hobbyist when it comes to leather. I am reading and trying to learn how to build a saddle right now. Good luck Quote Greetings from Central Texas! The Grain Side Up blog #TheGrainSideUp
