However you got the black lines on the white, and keeping the white clean is just great.

The whole thing should make someone proud.

Shirley,

It looks great, do you remember where you got that braid? And what size lace did you use on it? It does a great job of covering the joint. Looks great.

This one's a winner for sure,

Beautiful work Shirley!

That's one to be proud of. I can see the attention to detail you put into the lacing and tooling. Ya done good!

Hey David,

It's basically the mexican round braid without going under the last lace. So, three forward, two back, that's it.

Does that make sense?

Shirley,

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense....a fast round braid....I like it.

Did you see the Bandidos seat after I finished it? I could have used a fast round braid on that monster.

Hah!!!! Finally found this thread! :You_Rock_Emoticon: (it took me a while and search wasn't "as" helpful as I'd hoped)

I read a reference to your simplified mexican braid in another post - my arthritic ole mitts are gonna love you for this tip :0) It looks like a much easier braid to revisit for tightening every few loops as well :0)

Thanks Shirley!

Shirley,

The seat is beautiful and the paint job is awesome. What kind of paint did you use and how did you apply it? Also what kind of sealer if any went over the top to keep the paint from rubbing off? I'd like to try paints but wonder how they will hold up. Thanks for your help.

My next seat is going to be for the Leather Necks witch is a Marine bike club. I will be putting the same logo as this on it. I will post pics soon. Matt
