WBRA awards

Recommended Posts

Here are two Dayplanner/ Mini Photo album. These are 7/8 oz. H.O. they are lined with lightweight pigskin.

Carved Lettering. Both of the planners were finished the exact same way and cut from the same side but for some reason they turned out a little bit different.

The finish is a light Evoo oiling, A coat of Saddle lac, Light brown Feibings antique paste, Two more coats of Saddle lac.

Let me know what you think or what you would change.

They look great. I think I might shorten the stitches a little to make it look more custom.

Still think they look great keep it up.

First off I want to say thank you.

Cowboy Thanks very much, I think you will go just as far as long as you keep at it. But thanks for the vote of confidence

Tim Klefner Thank you as well The alphabet is just a font from the computer. I started up a word document and typed out the words I will use and and then just highlight and start running through the fonts to see what I like. I make sure that I enlarge it at least close to the size that it will end up when I am deciding what font I will use because they chang alot when they get bigger. I know that is probably the way most do it but for those who dont know how it is done there it is.

Steve. Yes these were all completely stitched with my 31-15 using 138 as a top thread and 69 on the bobbin. I need to get some heavier thread for the bobbin but it is working for now I guess.

Great job, Tim! Really glad to see the hand tooled letters...they look so much more custom then the stamps do! Edges look good too. Nice awards!

:notworthy: Very nicely done. You have the whole package going on...great straight basketweave...super job on the sewing and the lettering is killer!

This statement does not make much sense, so I will try again. What I was trying to say is that the stitch length is to long IMO by shorting the stitch length it will look more custom. I like smaller stitches. I might be totally wrong. Hope some one will chime in here and let me know if I'm seeing it wrong.

I agree mark I need to mess with my stitcher a little bit. I just started running the bigger thread and now I need to adjust the stitch length and find the right look.

Thanks for lookin out.
