Regis Report post Posted September 21, 2009 Our daughter want's us all to go to Steamboat Springs Colorado next May. I thought it was just a ski resort. She thinks there's more but, has never been there. It's in the Rockys so I know there are trout and it's in the west so I know there is some leather. But, is there stuff for wife & daughter (older than teenager) in the springtime? Is it a good hub to drive & see mountains & wildlife? Are there shops and gallaries open outside of ski season. And, hopefully skiiing is over by May. Appreciate any leads or pointers. Regis

Double U Leather Report post Posted October 1, 2009 I was born and raised 40 miles from there in Craig. There's loads to do in Steamboat other than skiing. Summer time there's a weekly prorodeo, plus awesome golf courses, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, etc. It's beautiful country, and plenty of things other than skiing. I think you'd like it.
