jeannie Report post Posted September 29, 2009 Hi to all of you. I'm from germany and i love working with leather, especially in the miniature world (model horse tack). As a sample you can see a halter on a Schleich model horse. The height of the horse is about 10cm/4in. The next step will be a saddle and I hope getting help from you. $$hobby Report post Posted September 30, 2009 greetings. it looks like you really dont need any help with your work. im curious, do you buy or make the "hardware" on your tack? also imo, for some authenticity, you need to have some flys on the horse and maybe some green spots on his coat? I want to make a cinch (not from leather material) for a saddle but I couldn't find any written instructions or "how-to" books or anything like it. I can't make a trip to the USA to join a cinch-making-school..... Maybe someone of you knows how to make a cinch? I would really appreciate any help. The "hardware" on the halter is selfmade except the chain of course. I used plain wire. Some flys on the horse and some green spots? Well, it's a very cleaned up ready to show Appaloosa. Do you know how small this horse is? ;-) I'll attach another photo. It shows a traditional sized Breyer Model horse with the halter on it's right ear ;-)))
