celticleather Report post Posted October 1, 2009 Le Prevo (http://www.leprevo.co.uk/) have a good range of leathers at sensible prices. One of the best ranges is available at J T Batchelor in London (http://www.allinlond...y/1218/8296.php). They don't have a website yet, although one is planned. If you speak to Ted or Rocky, they can help with most requirements.

scottishshoemaker Report post Posted October 22, 2009 For my leather I use A&A Crack in Northampton. The best in my opinion. The site is under construction just now, phone and speak to Tony This link for contact details http://sitebuilder.yell.com/sb/show.do?id=SB0003209474000180 http://www.aacrack.co.uk/construction.cfm

Lincoln isn't far from Chesterfield where you will be able to buy leather direct from "Claytons" one of only two proper (veg tan) tanneries left in the country (I think I'm right) the other is in Dorset or somewhere like that. If you are into leather armour, you can get leather upto 8mm thick, they are very helpful, and you might get to see round the works, it's very interesting, tell them what you want it for, they will advise you what to buy. take lots of cash, they aren't cheap . cheers mike
