Members jaunvie Posted October 11, 2009 Members Report Posted October 11, 2009 I've been sewing on industrial machines for more than 15 years now. And although I'm getting pretty good at repairing most things that go wrong with my machine, it has been a long trial and error process. There's only one person in my area that services industrial machines and if mine breaks down, it can sometimes be a while until I can get him over to my place to fix it. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on repair manuals or anything that would help me to learn how to repair my machine myself. I mostly want to learn about my industrial machines, but I would like to learn how to repair my home machine and sergers as well. I have a Consew 226, Juki LU563, Singer 31-15, as well as a 5-thread and 4-thread sergers (non-industrial), computerized home machine, embroidery machine, and a few, not used too often, treadle machines. Thanks so much for the help. It would be great to not have to be down for a few days while I wait for my machine to be fixed. (customers don't like it either ) Thanks, Jaunvie Quote

Members ryano Posted November 3, 2009 Members Report Posted November 3, 2009 I have a repair manual for the Consew 226, so I now they exist. I do not want to part with it and I think it is too thick to have copied. Quote
Denster Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 Go to www.proleptic.net they have manuals for just about everything. Quote

(customers don't like it either ) Thanks, Jaunvie You can download Singer manuals from http://parts.singerco.com/IPsvcManuals/, http://parts.singerco.com/IPinstManuals/, and http://parts.singerco.com/IPpartCharts/. The Consew and Juki are very close derivatives of Singer models. After you find out which Singer they're copies of, you can get those manuals too. Doug Quote
