Just finished the leather (leatherneck?) collar with "Airship Master Pilot" emblem tooled into it. Now here is the whole costume complete.

I am fifty years old and I have always lived in freedom; let me end my life free; when I am dead let this be said of me: 'He belonged to no school, to no institution, to no academy, least of all to any régime except the régime of liberty.'

As I said earlier, you and this costume are just too cute!

Awesome job on everything; you're sure to be a hit at the Halloween party. Though, in my humble opinion, you should just walk around like this every day. :D

Thanks MM, Storm, CG!

Regimental is the only way to go Storm. For authenticity of course.

I almost do want to walk around like this all the time. I need more hats and kilts!

Backedit:

Here is the detail of the leather shirt collar.

Great costume, Tim, very imaginative and well-done. Maybe some theatrical troupes would be interested in your work.

Next to the vambrace, I think that the collar is my favorite part! Very handsome!

Hats off to you TT. That is one way cool costume. Like the kilt very untraditional. But that's what I like about it. Puts us Scots to shame!

Thanks everyone. It was a lot of fun doing it.

Thanks 'Roo

Kate I was finishing the jacket hours before the party and just got the sleeves hemmed before I had to get ready.

Tasha that vambrace looking nice is a big credit to your help.

Mooshi no the boots are made by a shop up in Idaho that I think has since moved on. They wear well and the buffalo is really tough but comfortable.

Thank you RS

Sara that is why I like your mom. BAM!

Thanks George! Maybe someday I will get a real kilt! :)

That is possibly one of the coolest thing I have seen. I like the single action on the hip. Have you by chance read the book Boneshaker I think you would enjoy it?
