Members animagusbc Posted November 4, 2009 Members Report Posted November 4, 2009 A friend of mine who is associated with the Bull Mastiff club is looking for someone to design 2 collars (1 for a Male and 1 for a Female) for their Specialty next April but is needing to work with someone now to get the ball rolling for the design aspect. The collars will be about 2.5" - 3" wide by 36" long. Colour will be in Medium Brown with Brass Fixtures. There will also be a Brass O-Ring that will be attached to the front of the collar and not by the buckle for the leash. There will also be some embossed letters of the name of the event to also be placed on the collar. They are also looking for Celtic type conchos in brass only. leather collar must be thick so we were thinking of 2 pieces of 8-10oz leather to be stitched together. They are aware that each collar will be a bit expensive but they are aware of this. If you are interested in taking on this job, please email me. Some pics of your collars and approximate pricing as we would like to hire someone right away to do the job. Thanks and look forward to hearing from you. Quote

I'm not sure I have the skill sets you need for this type of project, I have extensive experience in leatherworking with belts and horse tack. In the past I have made collars for large dogs, ie: Shepards, and Akidas. I made them to the specs of the customers. I searched the net for brass conchos, but failed to find any . The only thing I found available are those with antique silver finishes in various styles and shapes. Let me know what you think. Sorry I have no pictures at this time as I have recently returned to Leather after a 10 year absence. If my qualifications are not what you are looking for . Please be so kind to let me know. In any case good luck with your search Sincerely C B Finger Quote

My wife is an import from there, though I'm in Iowa. Everyone over here thinks she's an A-grade hide, though perhaps there she's standard Her niece just loves my "American accent"... Quote
