Members Leerwerker Posted April 2, 2008 Members Report Posted April 2, 2008 Some months ago I was asked to rescue two prayerbooks by a very dear old nun, Sr Rosalind. I decided to try to copy the images on the front covers on to the leather by treating them as pencil drawings and doing them in burning. I never took photos of the finished covers - they were also glued on like the Bible cover I showed so that they would keep the books together. The old paperback covers had disintegrated. Members Leerwerker Posted April 2, 2008 Author Members Report Posted April 2, 2008 These look really good. I would really like to hear how you burned the images in the leather. I did it just like doing a pencil drawing. First did the outlines and then bring in the shading. Members Oscar B Posted April 3, 2008 Members Report Posted April 3, 2008 Nice work, and this is on my try list one of these days. Quote Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would most likely be worth it."
