Gear Bags

Howdy;

Here are a few gear bags I have just made up, they are made from an apron split leather with latigo handle and brass zippers and made in a few different sizes.

Please let me know what you think, I am looking for constructive criticism.

I think they look great too. I really don't see any criticisms. One question I do have is your source of the apron split. Mine is that blueish gray, and yous looks more to the tan shade. I like the color of yours better for stuff like this.

I get the arpon split from Caledon Leather Sales in Calgary Alberta. this split is a firmer than than the pearl apron, makes great bags and awesome for shoeing aprons. I'm not sure where you would find it in the US.

The bags look great.

I have always had it my mind to build a whole set of luggage but never seem to have the time.

Great minds think alike; I have been searching the internet looking for gear bags trying to get ideas for some and yours are exactly what I had in mind. I was going to make them out of extra heavy canvas but I really like the looks of those apron split ones. Thanks for posting!

I was looking at some duck material like the ones King Ranch used, but I agree that I like your apron split much more. Are these lined? Great looks as always!

Andy I'm sure when I buy from Caledon it's called arpon split not apron split LOL, or maybe my dyslexia and grade three edicaton is showin. DYSLEXICS UNTIE
