is there any houshold products that i can use to clean leather befor i carve and dye it? i know deglazer is what i should use just can't aford it right now will get some when i can.

Biker ,deglazer that tandy sells in nothing more than acetone. same thing as fingernail polish remover. I go to the hardware store and buy a quart can for less then what tandy sells a 4 oz bottle for. another thing you can use is saddle soap to clean leather or lexol leather cleaner or condtioner. They make a pro carve that is good for the leather, it cases it nice . I use to keep scraps of leather in a bucket with water in it and it would be nice to case the leather with it.sice I carve very little now i do not do it.

Thanks acetone i got plenty of that laying around my wife uses it regulerley and my niece is a butician and i can get it real cheap like almost free
