Members TConrad Posted January 7, 2010 Members Report Posted January 7, 2010 LET ME KNOW WHAT YA THINK. FIRST GO AROUND AT WALLETS. I THINK I'LL USE THIS ONE MYSELF. ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS TRAVIS Quote
howardb Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 Travis, Great idea! I think the inside parts should be thinner, possibly garment or similar with finished edges. My opinion anyway. Great design idea! Tooling on paperboard might give you some deeper impressions in the thin leather. Otherwise, it's really cool. Are the 6-guns a pattern or did you freelance it? nice! Brent Quote
Members CitizenKate Posted January 7, 2010 Members Report Posted January 7, 2010 Hi Travis, That's a very nice first effort on a roper wallet - I love the stain job! If you're looking for ideas to improve on that, I would suggest having a look at Kevin King's excellent photo tutorial on wallet making. He specializes in wallets of a very similar style. You can see it at the following address: http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=9940 Look forward to seeing your future projects! Kate Quote
