It does impact all families and will claim many lives in its path as it travels through the US. Snoop, surveil and search your kids and their bedrooms caldenstinely, of course. But as a former DARE officer from its inception at LAPD, I make sure my kids know that this unacceptable and my invovlement may not prevent it, but at the very least shows that I care for their safety!
