seveneves Report post Posted February 17, 2010 In all the books I've looked at the stitching on the horn cap doesn't go around 360 degrees which is what I want to do. Does anyone have some basic patterns that I could use for the first piece? I have the one pattern that looks like it wings that wrap around. This is what I need to learn how to do. not this. Thanks. Steve Brewer Report post Posted February 19, 2010 (edited) To cover a horn and sew all the way around it.Start byu finding the center of your horn cap,Mark it there with a scratch awl.Mark the center and figure out the stitch line(diamiter of horn).Allow 1/2 " larger, cover the belly, put in your stiffiner, and glue your capon..Make up your wing piece and glue to to bottom of your belly piece, sew the horn all the way around and wrap your wings around the neck.Trim the cap down to where you want edge and rub Edited February 19, 2010 by Steve Brewer
