Members Butch Posted March 2, 2010 Members Report Posted March 2, 2010 Very nice work. I like the way you setup the picture also. That always sets work off. Butch Quote Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear, or a fool from any direction. Facebook

MarkB Posted March 2, 2010 Author Report Posted March 2, 2010 Thanks everyone for your comments I like the way they turn out too. Mark Very nice Mark! Who made the conchos? I had these made by Ken Cureton from Glenrock WY I also get them made by Wages Silversmiths in CA. Here is how the backs look and also how the back of the concho looks. Members Cowboy316 Posted March 2, 2010 Members Report Posted March 2, 2010 Mark thanks for the pic of the backs of the straps and the concho i would have never thought the concho was like that is that a custom made or can i get conchos like that at the saddle shop Cowboy316 Quote http://wildwestcusto...rworks.webs.com
Members Aggiebraider Posted March 3, 2010 Members Report Posted March 3, 2010 Mark thanks for the pic of the backs of the straps and the concho i would have never thought the concho was like that is that a custom made or can i get conchos like that at the saddle shop Cowboy316 I agree I have never seen conchos like that. I would have assumed that they just had chicago screw backs, but definitely a cool way to attach the straps to the spurs basically underneath the concho. The only problem though would be if you had real fancy buttons on the hangers of your spurs, they would be covered by the conchos. But still very cool spur straps Quote
Members little1983 Posted March 3, 2010 Members Report Posted March 3, 2010 First I`d like the straps very well...nice work... but one question... why had you made the "holes for the spurs" so "high" ... I`ve never seen it that way before... by little Quote
Members CADBURYS Posted March 3, 2010 Members Report Posted March 3, 2010 you hear about a lot of old skills being lost all i can say is anyone who believes that ought to come and look at the work on this forum Quote rough & ready ,& busy chasing the grandkids
hidepounder Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 I really like the straps, Mark, you did a good job on them. I like the tooling design....it's thinking a little out of the box....it's different, creates interest and looks really nice. Bobby. Quote
Members TimDreamer Posted March 3, 2010 Members Report Posted March 3, 2010 Ya'll are just so awesome when it comes to creativity. Your use of the different geometrics really create an appealing pattern!! Top notch work, Mark.
