Nice work, that is my current favorite style for OWB carry also.

Thanks, Smalltown, . . . I've been looking for a pattern that I could literally do in a blue color, . . . for a special project.

Your picture was just exactly what I needed to see.

May God bless,

Actually, it is for a nurse (imagine that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). We only see each other occasionally through our work assignments, but just as soon as she gives me the order, . . . I'll make it, . . .

May God bless,

Dwight

Smalltown, very nice work. I have a couple of the Tucker HF1s in black cherry both just like the main one shown on his website. Yours looks great I may have to give it a try, I've been wanting one for my kimber pro. Thanks for the picture.

Just out of curiosity, I have looked at yours, and on the official Tucker website, . . . is the front flap actually two pieces of leather, or is it just one piece? I wasn't able to figure it out on my own, so I just figured I'd up and ask.

Thanks, may God bless,

Dwight

Here is a close up pic of a Tucker HF1 that shows the edge of the front flap closely. The way Tucker makes it is w/ two pieces of leather...

More pics of the HF1...

After I posted these pics of my 1st functional holster (an HF1 style) - My Holster , I received a friendly PM from a gentleman in the holster biz who informed me that Tucker has been known to get upset with those who copy his HF1. I think the only reason to be even remotely concerned about this is if you are past the point of being a "hobbyist" and are planning to market that style (although I don't proclaim to be an expert on copyright law). I don't know if Tucker was the first one to design a holster that fits the description of: "Envelope style holster w/ separate flap of leather extending to the front of the holster for the purpose of forming the front belt support loop", but he does market a commercially successful version of that style of holster and apparently will defend his copyright on the "HF1".

Nice holster BTW. I am a fan of this style too as it seems to support a pistol riding high above the belt very well.

Thanks, olliesrevenge, . . . I tried making one unlined just for the heck of it, . . . and it did not turn out to suit me.

As for the copyright, . . . I would never assume to make an exact copy of the Tucker, out of respect for his labor and his originality.

I simply have an acquaintance (a nurse) who wanted a holster for her Glock, . . . and I really thought that one made in a similar pattern would probably suit her needs fairly good, . . . and still not reflect against Tucker's legal rights.

May God bless,

Dwight
